The16th International Workshop
on Laser Ranging was held in Poznan Poland, October 12-17,
2008. The theme of the Workshop was “SLR -- the Next Generation”.
The workshop was head in the IBB Andersia Hotel located in the centre of the city and organized by the Committee on Space and Satellite Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan,
and the International
Laser Ranging Service (ILRS). The Mayor of the Poznan City, Rector of the Adam Mickiewicz University, President of the Poznan Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences gave Patronage to the Workshop. Workshop sponsors included the Committee on Space and Satellite Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the European Office of Aerospace Research and Development (EOARD), the IBB Andersia Hotel, and Kompania Piwowarska. Various ILRS-related
meetings were held in conjunction with the workshop, including the 14th
ILRS General Assembly. Over 140 attendees particpated in the workshop. The
ILRS would like to acknowledge the efforts of the local organizers for their efforts in coordinating an excellent meeting and creating the original workshop Web site.
Compilation of the workshop proceedings is in process. Presentations and posters from the workshop are available in PDF format sorted by session:
The proceedings document has been published. PDF files containing the volumes are available:
